The Adventure Squad doesn’t just do park missions—we also read a million books! It’s called the Adventure Squad Book Club and it only happens during the summer break.
Every single Sunday, when the sun is super bright, we all meet up at the big, quiet Library. It’s the best because they have all the air conditioning! We sit in the special room with the comfy chairs.
We talk about the book we read last week. I always read the fattest books. I like the Warriors series the best! We take turns standing up and telling everyone if the book was SUPER good and if they should run and read it right now, or if it was kinda boring and they should skip it. Sometimes we argue about which book was better, but only a little bit!
The coolest thing is that our parents come too! They sit in the back of the room with all their grown-up books. But then, they get to talk about their books, and sometimes my dad tells a funny story about a weird sci-fi book. It’s like having a double club meeting!
And guess what? Everyone is welcome! You don’t even have to be an official Adventure Squad member to come to the Book Club meeting. If someone new is walking by the room, we yell, “HEY! Come talk about books with us!” because the more people, the more cool book ideas we get.
It makes summer the best because even though we don’t have school, we still get to see each other and have something to be experts about! Our book club is the best!
